Lot 67:
Description
A collection of limited edition giclée colour prints after original paintings, primarily featuring United Kingdom coastal and moorland landscapes. The group includes a notable print of “Yes Tor, Dartmoor” by F. J. Widgery, numbered 77/495, which is accompanied by a certificate of authenticity from the Tavistock Picture Framing Company on the reverse. Also present are two maritime scenes by John Hamilton, titled “Porth Hellick — Isles of Scilly” (numbered 11/750) and “Old Grimsby at Low Water” (numbered 568/750); both are hand-signed in pencil by the artist in the lower right margin. The collection further comprises several smaller prints of lakeside landscapes, a Mediterranean style street scene numbered 293/500 and signed M. Sadon, and a print of “The Praying Hands” after Albrecht Dürer. The works are variously housed in gilt-edged wood and dark wood frames.
Condition report:
The prints appear in generally good condition with bright colours and no visible foxing. There is some slight rippling to the paper within the mount of the Porth Hellick print (photo 2). The frames show minor handling wear and occasional small scuffs to the edges, consistent with age.
