Description
A collection of decorative objects, religious figures, and vintage homewares in various styles and materials. This lot includes several composite and porcelain style figurines of religious subjects including Jesus Christ, St. Francis of Assisi, and the Virgin Mary. One notable piece is a Footprints in the Sand themed display featuring a porcelain figure on a printed glass base. The glassware comprises a large multi-coloured splash-effect vase with integral handles, a green textured glass decanter with a clear faceted stopper, and a frosted glass peacock-tail decorative piece.
The group further includes a crystal Madonna and Child paperweight housed in a cylindrical card presentation box; the lid features a white adhesive label reading Art. 7661 NR 033 000 > 30% PbO MADE IN AUSTRIA next to a pineapple device. Other items include a set of two ceramic mugs in a green and blue tartan pattern with a presentation box marked The Leonardo Collection, a painted resin model of a thatched cottage, and a black cast-metal dog-shaped doorstop. The metalware consists of a collection of silver-toned souvenir and condiment spoons, some featuring repoussé work to the bowls, and a cased set of six knives with cream-coloured handles.
Condition report:
Most items are in good used condition. The crystal and glass pieces appear free from major chips or cracks upon visual inspection. The tartan mugs are in their original box which shows some wear to the corners and edges (photo 1). The paperweight box lid has minor surface scuffing (photo 2). The resin cottage and metal doorstop show minor surface dust consistent with display (photo 5). The metal spoons exhibit typical surface tarnishing and light scratches from use.
