Description
This lot comprises a pair of hand-painted resin figurines from the Arabesque series by Academy. Each figure is depicted in a stylised Edwardian fashion, posed against an arched, latticed screen background. The first figurine features a woman with long blonde hair wearing a white sleeveless gown with a black sash, holding a large bouquet of roses. The second figurine depicts a woman with brown hair in an updo adorned with a rose, leaning against the lattice screen in an off-the-shoulder white gown with black trim and a black bow to the reverse. Both figures are mounted on stepped black bases.
The underside of each base bears a white adhesive label; one reads 48/2202A and the other 48/2202C. Both labels include a barcode. The original blue cardboard boxes accompany the figurines, each featuring a white gothic-style script reading Arabesque and are further marked ACADEMY and A FINE HAND PAINTED FIGURINE. The boxes also bear matching identification stickers 48/2202A and 48/2202C respectively.
Condition report:
The figurines are in good overall condition with no visible chips, cracks, or losses to the delicate floral elements (photo 1, 2, 8). The paint finish remains vibrant. The original packaging shows moderate shelf wear, including scuffing to the corners, minor creasing, and surface marks (photo 1, 7, 13).
