Lot 138:
Description
A collection of approximately 75 plush soft toys and teddy bears of various sizes and styles. The assortment is constructed from synthetic plush fur and felt, with polyester stuffing and plastic safety eyes and noses. The collection features several identifiable characters including a large Winnie the Pooh and a smaller Winnie the Pooh, both with embroidered text to the chest reading Winnie the Pooh, and a Paddington Bear wearing a blue felt coat and red hat.
The group includes regional and promotional interest bears, notably a bear wearing a black and white sailor cap with a band reading H.M.S. PLYMOUTH, a bear in a white t-shirt printed BULLIVER BEAR SOUTH DEVON RAILWAY, and a small bear wearing a red promotional t-shirt reading WALKERS. Other examples include a bear in a white t-shirt printed TOUGH TED, a bear in a blue t-shirt featuring the Royal Air Force roundel, and multiple bears in festive attire, including one in a red sweater embroidered Merry Christmas. The lot also contains a purple bear with a globe emblem and a multi-coloured pastel bear, both in the style of Ty Beanie Babies, and several grey-furred bears with blue noses, including one with a chest label reading Love and another reading Me to You.
Condition report:
The toys appear to be in generally good, used condition. Visible matting to the synthetic fur is present on several larger items, most notably the large Winnie the Pooh (photo 3). One bear on the bottom shelf features a cluster of artificial yellow flowers attached to its lap (photo 4). Various manufacturers\' fabric tush tags are present throughout the lot, though specific text is not clearly legible from the images. All items are loose without original packaging.
