Description
A trio of wall mirrors comprising three distinct styles. The first item is a mid-20th century Art Deco style frameless mirror featuring a shaped, scalloped perimeter with decorative bevelling and thumb-cut notches, secured by metal clips. The second is a late 20th century rectangular Venetian style wall mirror of glass-on-glass construction, featuring a central plate bordered by four mitred, bevelled glass panels that create a prismatic effect at the edges. The final item is a late 20th century rectangular mirror housed in a wooden frame wrapped in a floral patterned fabric or paper in shades of pink, blue, and green, finished with gilt-effect inner and outer borders. No manufacturer marks or labels are visible on the plates or frames of these items.
Condition report:
The Art Deco style scalloped mirror shows significant foxing and dark oxidation spots to the silvering, particularly along the lower edge (photo 1 and 2). The rectangular floral framed mirror exhibits minor silvering loss and spotting at the extreme edges where the glass meets the frame (photo 1 and 4). The glass-on-glass Venetian style mirror appears in good condition with minor surface dust but no significant visible foxing to the central or border plates (photo 3).
