Description

A collection of vinyl records primarily spanning classic rock, pop, and new wave genres from the 1960s to the early 1980s. The lot comprises approximately fifty 12-inch LPs and approximately ten 7-inch singles, housed in a blue plastic storage crate. Notable 12-inch titles include The Beatles A Hard Day’s Night and Revolver on the Parlophone label in mono, as well as Let It Be on Apple Records and the 1967-1970 compilation. Other identified artists include Pink Floyd, Bob Dylan, Fleetwood Mac, The Who, Lou Reed, and The Police. A group of 7-inch singles in various paper sleeves includes titles by The Kinks, The Rolling Stones, Small Faces, and Manfred Mann, featuring labels such as Pye, Decca, and Immediate. One Pink Floyd sleeve bears a purple circular adhesive label reading PINK FLOYD THE DARK SIDE OF THE MOON. Several jackets carry handwritten inventory markings and adhesive price labels, including a white label on the Bob Dylan Hard Rain jacket reading 3.99.

Condition report:

The collection is in varied used condition with significant signs of handling across the sleeves. Notable defects include heavy ring wear and shelf wear to the majority of jackets (photo 1). The Beatles A Hard Day\'s Night and Revolver jackets show significant edge wear, surface scuffing, and corner blunting (photo 3 and photo 9). Fleetwood Mac Rumours and History of the Byrds display visible creasing and corner damage (photo 7 and photo 14). Significant foxing and browning is present on lighter-coloured sleeves, particularly Cat Stevens Tea for the Tillerman and the Average White Band jacket (photo 17 and photo 22). The paper sleeves for the 7-inch singles show frequent tears, fraying, and creasing (photo 1). The vinyl media has not been fully inspected but shows visible dust and lacks outer plastic protective sleeves.
