Lot 3:
Sold for: £34
Description
A neon bar sign designed for decorative display. This lot comprises one rectangular clear acrylic box containing stylized glass neon tubing that forms the word BAR in red. The internal neon glass is supported by clear plastic stand-offs and features black painted sections to define the letter shapes. The unit is powered by a modern black electrical cable fitted with a UK three-pin mains adapter plug. While the design is consistent with Locomocean style acrylic neon boxes, no maker’s marks, labels, or branding are visible on the acrylic casing or the electrical components. The internal wiring and electrical connections are visible through the transparent housing.
Condition report:
The neon sign is in working order and illuminates brightly in red (photo 2). The clear acrylic display case shows significant signs of age and wear, including heavy surface scratching, scuffing, and ingrained dust throughout. A large, prominent crack is visible in the clear acrylic panel, originating from one of the mounting screws (photo 3). The electrical cable and UK plug appear intact but have not been professionally tested.
