Lot 254:
Description
A vintage motorised plastic robot finished in a chrome-plated coating. This lot comprises the robot only; no remote control is present. The robot features a rounded dome head with red plastic visor inserts and a decorative grill-patterned chest plate detailed with blue, yellow, and red geometric panels. The back of the unit houses a battery compartment, a control switch, and a black wire antenna. The entire figure is mounted upon a black rectangular plastic base fitted with integrated wheels. A yellow and black adhesive label on the shoulder and base reads SCOOTER 2000 in block lettering. A small circular aperture is visible on the front left of the head section, possibly indicating a missing component.
Condition report:
The chrome-plated finish exhibits significant wear throughout, with visible pitting, scuffing, and loss of the metallic coating, most notably on the head and arms (photo 1). The black wire antenna appears slightly bent (photo 2). There is an accumulation of dust and grime in the recessed areas and crevices of the plastic body. A circular port on the front of the head appears to be missing an inset component (photo 1). The internal mechanism is untested and the remote control is missing.
