Lot 216:
Sold for: £10
Description
A collection of professional stage and studio lighting fixtures, primarily consisting of PAR-style spotlights and box luminaires. The group includes multiple black-painted metal PAR lamps, likely PAR 64 style, featuring cylindrical housings with ventilated rears and integrated steel mounting yokes. These units are equipped with internal faceted reflectors and adjustable tilt mechanisms secured by star-shaped knobs. Also included in the collection is a square black luminaire with a large convex glass lens and a hexagonal luminaire featuring a purple-coloured metal casing and central circular aperture. The fixtures are fitted with integrated power cables in both black and white. One unit bears a white adhesive label with the number ‘216’ and another features a pink adhesive label with handwritten text reading ‘DX J1341L’. A green adhesive electrical safety label is visible on one unit, though the specific text is not clearly legible.
Condition report:
The collection shows signs of heavy professional use and prolonged storage, with significant surface dust and grime visible across all housings (photo 1). There are multiple areas of paint scuffing, surface scratches, and minor corrosion to the metal yokes and adjustment hardware (photo 3). The electrical cables are tangled and show surface soiling. Some units exhibit small dings to the metal casings consistent with handling. All internal lamps and bulbs are untested and should be considered consumables of unknown status. As used electrical equipment, these items require professional inspection and testing before use.
