Description
A pair of men’s vintage brown jackets featuring faux-shearling style linings and trim. The lot includes one corduroy jacket and one leather style aviator jacket. The corduroy jacket is constructed from brown ribbed cotton with cream-colored sherpa style trim to the wide pointed collar, chest panels, and hem. It features a full front zip closure and zippered waist pockets with a quilted brown nylon interior. An interior white fabric label reads Cotton lining Nylon above a stylized script wordmark reading Spinney. The second item is a heavily distressed brown leather style aviator jacket with a thick cream faux-shearling lining. It is designed with a double-breasted front with metal snap fasteners, vertical welt pockets, and a buckled belt at the hem. A small white label is present at the interior neck but the text is not clearly legible.
Condition report:
The corduroy jacket shows light fading and surface wear consistent with age, particularly along the seams and edges (photo 1). The faux-shearling trim on the corduroy example exhibits some matting and discolouration (photo 4). The leather style jacket shows significant surface distressing, variations in colour, and general wear throughout the exterior (photo 2). Its internal lining displays pilling and matting consistent with heavy use (photo 3). The metal snap buttons on the leather style jacket show some signs of oxidation (photo 2).
