Description
A collection of costume jewellery comprising an assortment of necklaces, bracelets, earrings, and brooches in various styles. The lot features several pieces of cloisonné style enamel jewellery, including four circular clip-on earrings or brooches with blue and red floral designs, a fan-shaped floral brooch, and long triangular drop earrings. The assortment includes a white metal case with an engine-turned pattern, featuring a blue and yellow enamel badge marked WORTHING to the front; the interior is inscribed DRIVING LICENCE AND INSURANCE.
Other items include a gold-toned link bracelet with a red rose charm, a silver-toned bracelet set with pink cabochons, and a gold-toned bracelet set with imitation pearls and iridescent aurora borealis rhinestones. Several pieces remain on original retail cards, including a pair of floral drop earrings on a card marked GENUINE BONNE, and others marked FASHION EARRINGS and Specialty. The collection also features a silver-toned chain with a circular medallion bearing stamped characters, a multi-link necklace with black enamel and abalone style inlays, and a heart-shaped green stone keychain, possibly nephrite or jadeite.
Condition report:
The collection is in generally fair to good condition. Visible tarnish and surface oxidation are present on many of the base metal pieces, particularly the silver-toned chains and the rigid collar necklace (photo 1). The white metal cigarette case shows light surface scratching and minor wear to the enamel badge (photo 7). One imitation pearl cluster earring shows visible adhesive residue at the base of the pearls (photo 5). The cloisonné enamel pieces appear largely intact, though fine surface scratches are visible under close inspection. All stones in the rhinestone pieces appear present, though settings show typical signs of age-related wear.
