Description
A collection of decorative figurines including contemporary examples from the Park Lane. The group comprises of six resin figures depicting stylised female forms in various historical and evening attire, each mounted on a dark-finished circular wooden base. Each figure retains their original blue cardboard retail packaging featuring illustrated designs. The figurines include specific examples with adhesive paper labels to the underside: a green-felted base marked ‘ITEM NO. GF2150’ and ‘DESC. CHLOE’; a wood-veneer base marked ‘ITEM NO. GP215V’ and ‘DESC. AMELIA’; a wood-veneer base marked ‘ITEM NO. GP215W’ and ‘DESC. JOANNE’; a green-felted base marked ‘ITEM NO. GP215M2’ and ‘DESC. AMY’; a wood-veneer base marked ‘ITEM NO. GP258D2’ and ‘DESC. SHEILA’; and a wood-veneer base marked ‘ITEM NO. GP258F1’ and ‘DESC. CAROLINE’.
Condition report:
The porcelain figures generally appear in good order with the following exceptions: the figure labelled \'Amy\' is detached from its wooden base. The metal storage box shows surface wear, minor paint loss, and scratches consistent with utility use (photo 1). The cardboard retail boxes show some light storage wear to the corners and edges (photo 2).
