Condition report:
The No. 4 1/2 and No. 4 bench planes show significant surface oxidation and pitting to the steel irons and lateral adjustment levers (photos 3 and 4). The wooden handles on these planes show moderate wear to the varnish, with scuffing noted on the No. 4 tote (photo 4). The No. 78 rebate plane appears in good order, though the accompanying original box is heavily worn with multiple tears and adhesive tape repairs (photo 2). The hand drill exhibits significant finish loss and crazing to the varnish on the wooden handles (photo 5), while the red paint on the gear remains largely intact. The metal chuck shows surface tarnish (photo 5).
