Description
A collection of art glass and decorative table articles featuring a variety of studio and traditional glassware. The group includes a tall studio glass Jack-in-the-Pulpit vase with a flared rim and earthy-toned swirl pattern, which bears a gold adhesive label to the base reading ALUM BAY GLASS below a three-arched logo. Also included is a Bohemian style liqueur set comprising a slender decanter with a gold-toned neck and six matching small glasses, all decorated with green tints, gilt scrollwork, and raised white enamel blossoms. The assortment further features a white cased glass handkerchief vase with copper-coloured aventurine inclusions, a heavy dark amethyst glass vase with white combed threading, and a glass scent bottle with an ornate pierced silver-toned metal overlay and matching stopper. A rectangular cobalt blue bottle is present, bearing a silver label printed PAKLAN. The collection is completed by various cut crystal and pressed glass items, including a globular perfume bottle with a faceted stopper, a lead crystal atomiser, a pink and white marbled glass vase, and a circular needlepoint paperweight marked PLYMOUTH 2000.
Condition report:
The collection is in good display condition overall. The silver-toned overlay on the scent bottle shows significant dark tarnish (photo 7). One miniature clear glass bottle appears to be missing its stopper (photo 1). Minor surface wear and light scratches consistent with age are visible on the bases across the group. No major chips or cracks are visible in the provided images.
