Description
A collection of commemorative medallions featuring portraits of Princess Diana. This lot comprises four large medallions, described as giant medallions, and one smaller coin-sized medallion. The giant medallions are constructed from copper-gold plated metal, each weighing 110 g with a diameter of 70 mm. They feature colour-printed portraits of Princess Diana on the obverse, accented with a small blue Swarovski crystal inset, and carry the inscription A WIFE · A PRINCESS · A MOTHER · A LEGEND. The reverse of these pieces shows a silhouette profile of Diana surrounded by a floral forget-me-not motif and the signature Diana, inscribed with Portraits of a Princess.
Accompanying the set is a smaller Queen Elizabeth II Golden Crown Coin and a dedicated purple presentation folder titled Diana: Portraits of a Princess. The collection includes four Echtheits-Zertifikat certificates of authenticity printed in German, bearing individual serial numbers B 02094, G 03396, H 04015, and 02841. A technical information card specifies an issue year of 2014 and a limitation of 9999 complete collections.
Condition report:
The collection appears to be in uncirculated proof condition. All medallions are housed within protective clear plastic capsules (photos 1 and 6). There are no visible signs of wear, toning, or handling marks on the metal surfaces or the colour-printed elements. The presentation folder and certificates appear clean and well-preserved with no visible creasing or tears (photos 1, 3, and 5).
