Description
A collection of ceramic and porcelain decorative objects including figurines, table lamps, and miniatures. The group features a fine porcelain figurine titled Rose, depicted in a pink and white gown with a basket of roses, accompanied by a Danbury Mint certificate of authenticity and Wedgwood backstamp. Also included is a Jasmine Fairy figurine seated upon leaves, featuring a green felt base with a gold-tone label reading THE Flower Fairies, Jasmine Fairy, Hand painted, Danbury Mint, © 1998 Estate of Cicely Mary Barker.
The assortment comprises three table lamps: an oriental style lamp with floral and bird motifs on a wooden stand with a pink damask shade, a cream-glazed baluster lamp with a white pleated shade, and a smaller alabaster style lamp with a maroon pleated shade. A two-piece white glazed earthenware pedestal jardiniere is decorated with hand-painted green bamboo motifs. Further items include a Black Americana candlestick holder, a Charlie Chaplin style figure, and two small porcelain scholars, one in an orange coat marked to the underside with a blue underglaze crown above the letter N. The lot also contains various animal miniatures, floral arrangements on wooden plinths, and a small decorative cottage with applied floral details.
Condition report:
The jardiniere pot shows a significant large chip and multiple associated cracks to the upper rim (photo 9). The ceramic decorative cottage displays significant surface crazing and loss of applied floral elements to the roof (photo 5). General surface wear and minor dust are present across the collection consistent with age. Electrical components of the lamps are untested.
