Lot 352:
Sold for: £20
Description
This lot comprises a contemporary chest of drawers and a nest of three tables. The chest of drawers is constructed from light honey-toned wood and veneers, possibly pine, featuring four stacked drawers. Each drawer is fitted with two turned wooden knobs and exhibits simple joinery with a light-coloured secondary wood visible on the interior. The nest of tables consists of three graduated tables in a dark-stained wood finish, featuring rectangular tops supported by straight, square-section legs. The design of both pieces is utilitarian, consistent with late 20th-century manufacture. No manufacturer’s marks, labels, or stamps are visible on the exterior surfaces or within the opened drawer. This lot comprises the chest and nest of tables only; the other items shown in the storage environment are not included.
Condition report:
The chest of drawers and the nest of tables appear to be in good functional condition. The wood finishes on both items are largely intact, showing minor surface wear, small scuffs, and light scratches consistent with domestic use (photo 1). The interior of the partially opened drawer shows no structural damage but exhibits minor staining to the base (photo 2).
