Description
A Childford Stunt Rally electric slot car racing set, comprising two rally style cars in red and white and a quantity of black plastic track components. The set is housed in its original illustrated cardboard box with a white polystyrene internal tray. The contents include handheld speed controllers, a battery box, and various track sections such as curved, straight, lap counter, and power intake tracks. The box bears a stylized logo with a large GT and the name CHILDFORD, alongside a label for Anglocentrop Ltd. London – W1A 4AB, and a country of origin mark stating Made in China. An instruction sheet detailing potential track configurations is included. The cars are styled as Peugeot rally vehicles, with both featuring the number 405. The set includes additional accessories such as flyover supports, bridge bases, and fences as listed on the box exterior.
Condition report:
The original cardboard box shows significant wear, including scuffing, creasing, and areas of paper loss along the edges and corners (photo 1). The internal polystyrene tray is cracked in several places, particularly near the central section (photo 2). The cars and track show visible signs of play wear; the white car is missing its rear spoiler (photo 2). Oxidation is visible on the metal electrical contacts of the track sections (photo 2). The electrical functionality of the motors and controllers has not been tested.
