Description

A collection of household and decorative items featuring a small wooden dome top steamer trunk with metal banding and brass toned hardware. The trunk lid bears several adhesive labels including a yellow and red circular sticker reading ‘We advertise on 261 PLYMOUTH SOUND your local Radio Station’, a blue cloud shaped label for the band ‘PILOT’, a circular graphic sticker with a dragon and the text ‘ONZALEZ’, and a small oval ‘Morlaix ville’ sticker. The interior is lined with a blue, white, and black tartan plaid fabric and contains four oval framed bird prints under glass. The lot includes a dark stained wooden canteen for Remy Martin Cognac, featuring a red faux leather lined interior to the lid with gold toned borders and text reading ‘REMY MARTIN COGNAC’, sold empty with a tiered wooden storage base. Also present is a cased set of bar tools with wooden handles and brass toned heads, including a jigger, strainer, spoon, and tongs, housed in a red velvet lined case. A wooden key cabinet with a glazed front depicting a print of a ‘BIMACULATED DUCK’ opens to a green floral patterned lining with two rows of brass hooks. Completing the group is an artist’s wooden travel easel or storage case with internal dividers and a black foam lined base, a dark stained oval wooden tray with circular green felt inserts, and a wicker pet carrier with a metal wire gate and a paw print patterned cushion.

Condition report:

The trunk shows visible wear to the exterior stickers including peeling and losses (photo 2). Scuffs and surface scratches are present across the wooden surfaces of the Remy Martin canteen, the artist\'s box, and the tray (photos 4, 9). The duck print in the key cabinet shows significant foxing and water staining to the right side (photo 6). Metal bar tools exhibit surface tarnishing consistent with use (photo 8). The tartan lining of the trunk appears intact with minor fraying at the edges (photo 3).
