Description

A spun brass cased bulkhead style wall clock featuring a circular glass lens and a hinged front bezel. The dial is finished in a textured, engine-turned diamond pattern in a gold tone, set with applied black baton hour markers. The handset consists of broad black-painted rectangular batons and a slender red central sweep seconds hand. The reverse of the clock shows a grey metal backplate with various apertures and mounting points, though the original mechanical movement is absent. No manufacturer marks, labels, or signatures are visible on the dial, casing, or rear plate. This lot comprises the clock only; the CD cases and furniture shown in the images are not included.

Condition report:

The spun brass casing shows significant surface tarnish, oxidation, and scattered scratches consistent with age and industrial or marine use (photo 1 and 3). The dial displays a notable area of dark corrosion or staining situated between the 9 and 10 o\'clock markers (photo 1). The glass lens is present and appears intact but requires cleaning. The original mechanical movement has been removed, leaving an empty central hole and several drill holes in the rear casing plate (photo 2). The rear metal plate also exhibits surface rust and old adhesive residue (photo 2). The clock is currently without a functioning movement and is sold as untested.
