Description
A collection of costume and decorative jewellery comprising an assortment of earrings, brooches, necklaces, and men’s accessories. The lot includes a gold-tone tie slide and matching cufflinks featuring a spade motif with a monogram, presented in a black case with an interior lid marked BIJOUX GIVENCHY. A second set of cufflinks is fashioned from Scrabble-style tiles bearing the letters T and E. The assortment features various silver-tone and gold-tone metal pieces, including a pair of chainmail-style drop earrings set with blue faceted stones, and multiple pairs of clip-on earrings such as large faux-pearl examples with scalloped borders. One pair of pearl-style stud earrings is contained in a plastic presentation box with a gold label reading Coronet Jewellers, The Market, Plymouth, Devon, Tel: 266 936. Other notable items include a white-metal brooch and matching earrings set with green and white stones, a turquoise-style cabochon brooch with matching earrings, and various enamel-decorated floral and butterfly motifs. A selection of loose earrings is housed in a pink velvet-lined folding travel case.
Condition report:
Visible wear and pitting to the gold-tone plating is present on the large scalloped faux-pearl clip-on earrings (photo 13). Minor surface scratches are evident on the Givenchy style tie slide (photo 15). Several fine-link chains exhibit tangling (photo 1). The pink velvet travel case shows discolouration and spotting to the interior lining (photo 5). Most items appear in good vintage condition with typical signs of surface wear consistent with age.
