Description
A collection of twelve ladies fashion wristwatches, primarily featuring silver-tone plated base metal cases and quartz movements. The assortment includes various bracelet styles such as wide stone-set bangles, articulated links, mesh straps, and multi-strand chain designs. Several pieces carry readable brand names on their dials including one circular watch marked Furla, three watches marked Oasis, a square-faced watch marked Sekonda, and others bearing the names Philip Mercier, Identity London, Vivaldi, and U.S. Polo Association. One large oval watch features stylized Arabic numerals and is marked V R Valentin Remy, with further text reading Quartz and Miyota Movt. Two items in the collection are watch heads presented without straps. The group exhibits a variety of dial colours including black, silvered sunburst, white, and mother-of-pearl style finishes.
Condition report:
The collection shows signs of wear consistent with age and use. Surface scratching is visible to the metal cases, bracelets, and crystals across all items, notably on the Sekonda (photo 4) and Oasis (photo 6) watch heads. Some plating wear and tarnishing is evident on the undersides of the bracelets and cases. The multi-strand Identity London watch appears to have all stones present on the case and bracelet (photo 2). The Vivaldi watch shows minor discolouration to the stone settings (photo 3). Working order is unknown and the movements likely require replacement batteries.
