Lot 27:

Description
A group of five framed wall-hanging items comprising two vintage floral mirrors, two large-format photographic prints, and one framed textile artwork. The two mirrors are mid-20th century bevelled edge plates featuring hand-painted floral motifs including roses, pansies, and poppies in red, pink, and purple tones, accompanied by butterfly details. These mirrors are frameless, secured with metal clips to wooden backing boards. The two matching photographic prints depict industrial or mechanical sculptures in dramatic red and black tones, set within dark wood frames with deep mounts. Both frames carry white adhesive labels to the reverse from the Mayne Gallery, located at 14 Fore Street, Kingsbridge, Devon TQ7 1NY. The textile artwork features hydrangea-like floral motifs in shades of blue and purple, presented in a light-coloured natural wood frame with a wide white mount. The textile piece is hand-signed in the lower right corner with the characters CJRT ’86.
Condition report:
The two mirrors exhibit significant silvering loss and heavy foxing across the plates, particularly concentrated around the edges and lower sections (photo 1 and 5). The hand-painted decoration on both mirrors appears largely intact. The two photographic prints are in good condition behind glass, though the matching dark wood frames show minor surface scuffing to the edges (photo 3). The framed textile artwork and its light wood frame are in excellent condition with no visible faults (photo 2).
