Description

A mixed lot of decorative glassware comprising a cased set of six Italian champagne flutes, a green pressed uranium style glass dressing table set, and various clear glass items. The set of six champagne flutes features amber-tinted bowls decorated with etched classical style scenes and gilt bands on clear stems. They are presented in a blue hard-shell case with a white silk style lining, accompanied by a booklet titled L’arte del decoro i Preziosi by c.f. Design and a Certificato di Garanzia. One glass bears a circular gold-tone adhesive label that is not legible as a name.

The collection includes a green pressed glass dressing table set featuring a fleur-de-lis pattern, consisting of a rectangular tray, a lidded powder bowl, and two lidded trinket pots. Additionally, the lot contains two clear glass trays with geometric patterns, a large flared vase with optic ribbing, a cut-glass bowl with starburst motifs, a footed compote, and a clear glass liner. Completing the group are two cobalt blue glass condiment pots housed in silver-plated pierced metal frames with matching small spoons.

Condition report:

The glassware is in good overall condition with no major chips or cracks visible in the photographs. Minor wear is evident to the gilt rims of the champagne flutes (photo 1). Light staining and age-related discoloration are present on the silk style lining of the presentation case (photo 1). Some light surface scratching is visible on the bases and trays consistent with handling. The silver-plated frames on the cobalt blue glass pots show minor surface tarnish (photo 4).
