Description
A collection of decorative items including several Robert Harrop Designs Doggie People figurines. The assortment features hand-painted character dogs in various professional and sporting roles, including a bulldog strongman, a bulldog judge, a bulldog tennis player, and a bulldog butcher. The bases of these figurines carry circular gold and green adhesive labels; one reads DOGGIE PEOPLE ROBERT HARROP DESIGNS BULLDOG STRONGMAN and another for a tennis-themed figure reads DP158 BULLDOG MATCH POINT. The lot further comprises a group of ceramic and composition animal figures, including a large Cavalier King Charles Spaniel style dog and a pair of tigers. Also included are two folk style cloth figures of an elderly couple, a terracotta style figure of a seated woman, and three porcelain collector dolls, one accompanied by a Rue Moliere jewelry holder tag.
A variety of cased giftware accompanies the figurines, including a Viners silver-plated tea strainer and spoon set in a red presentation box, and a Louis Delon Collection watch set with interchangeable bezels and straps. Other assorted items include a plush teddy bear in a miniature wicker chair, a handheld USB fan, a Best Dad trophy, a Union Jack flag, and a cased travel alarm clock.
Condition report:
Significant damage is visible to the bulldog tennis player, with the racket handle snapped in two separate places (photo 3). The bulldog judge figure shows a loss to the right hand, where a white attachment point remains visible from a missing accessory (photo 4). The original cardboard box for the large porcelain doll is in distressed condition, showing severe crushing and tears (photo 6). General surface dust and minor scuffs are present across the collection consistent with age and storage.
