Description

A collection of costume jewellery and accessories including a Masters London vanity case. The lot comprises an assortment of necklaces, pendants, and brooches in various materials including gold and silver-tone base metals, plastic, resin, and glass. Notable items include a teal-coloured faux-pearl necklace, large red faceted plastic bead strands, and a needlework brooch featuring a hand-embroidered sailing galleon within a silver-tone oval frame. Figural pieces include a stylized reindeer pendant, an anchor pendant, and a teddy bear charm with a chest inscription reading I [Heart] LONDON. A circular brooch is set with a central amber-tone glass cabochon surrounded by black and clear rhinestones. The group includes a small reddish-brown leather pouch embossed with a celestial sun motif, a black soft-shell case for FOLDING READING GLASSES, and a small black cardboard box printed AVON in blue. The large oval storage case is constructed from dark green woven fabric with brown faux-leather trim and handles, bearing a central oval label printed MASTERS London.

Condition report:

The collection shows mixed condition throughout with tangling evident to several chain necklaces (photo 1). The teal faux pearls and red plastic beads appear intact without visible losses. The large circular brooch and embroidered ship brooch show no missing stones or fraying (photo 2). The Masters London vanity case shows visible wear and scuffing to the brown trim and handle edges, with significant white surface residue or scuffing across the top lid (photo 4). Plated metal surfaces on several pendants show light surface oxidation and wear consistent with age.
