Lot 82:
Description
A mid century modern style tiered side table featuring a circular revolving top and a secondary lower shelf. The table is constructed with a figured wood veneer, possibly burr walnut, which displays a decorative burl grain pattern throughout both surfaces. The wood elements are finished with a high-gloss lacquer and the upper tier features a thick, slightly tapered apron. The structure is supported by three metal hairpin style legs which are integrated into the lower tier and secured to the underside of the top. No manufacturer marks, labels, or stamps are visible on the piece.
Condition report:
The top surface exhibits several visible surface scratches and areas of finish wear consistent with use (photo 2). A notable milky or cloudy patch is visible on the top finish, possibly indicating moisture or heat damage (photo 2). There is a small chip and loss of veneer located on the edge of the top tier (photo 1). The metal legs show significant surface corrosion and oxidation throughout their length (photo 3). The lower tier shows light surface scuffing.
