The lot includes a lidded teapot, a cream jug, a sauce boat with a fixed stand, a lidded vegetable tureen, an oval serving platter, an open serving bowl, a pair of salt and pepper shakers, alongside an assortment of dinner plates, dessert plates, side plates, cereal bowls, teacups, and saucers. The underside of the platter bears a brown transfer-printed mark featuring a circular laurel wreath reading A MEMBER OF THE ROYAL WORCESTER GROUP above Palissy ENGLAND EST. 1853 and GAME SERIES below. A small red alphanumeric mark 1-8 is also present.
Condition report:
The service is in generally good condition with bright transfers. A small chip is visible to the rim of one saucer (photo 4). Fine surface crazing is present across the glaze of several pieces, consistent with earthenware of this period. There is minor shelf wear to the unglazed footrims.
