Description

A collection of vintage style die-cast toy vehicles, primarily consisting of models from the Lledo Days Gone series and Corgi Classics. The group features various British commercial liveries including the Daily Mirror, Pears Soap, Evening Gazette, Express Dairy, and Nestle’s Milk Chocolate. The lot includes a boxed Hamleys four-piece special limited edition set featuring a red London double-decker bus, a horse-drawn delivery wagon, and two commercial vans; the box is printed with “Hamleys THE FINEST TOYSHOP IN THE WORLD” and “A SPECIAL LIMITED EDITION OF 5000 SETS”.

Also present is a Corgi Limited Edition Duckham’s Oils tanker in a green and gold window display box, and a Corgi Classics Model T Van in Bournville Cocoa livery, box reference 08101. A Matchbox double-decker bus commemorates the 1981 Royal Wedding of the Prince of Wales and Lady Diana Spencer. Several three-piece Lledo sets are included, notably an Express Dairy set and a Dairy Farm set. The collection is predominantly housed in original cardboard and cellophane window display boxes marked “LLEDO (LONDON) LTD” and “MADE IN ENGLAND” or “CORGI” and “MADE IN GT. BRITAIN”. Several loose veteran style cars with green and red bodies are also included.

Condition report:

The vehicles appear to be in excellent, near-mint condition, appearing largely as unused collector\'s items. The majority of the items remain in their original window display boxes. The boxes show varying degrees of shelf wear, including scuffing to the edges and minor crushing or creasing to the cellophane windows (photo 1). The Bird\'s Custard Powder van blister pack contains loose red plastic components which appear to be unattached accessories (photo 4). The Matchbox Royal Wedding bus box shows significant creasing and wear to the card (photo 6). The loose vehicles show no significant paint loss visible in the overview.
