Lot 11:
Description
A collection of six garden decorative objects and planters featuring varying weathered patinas. The group includes a pair of cylindrical concrete planters with relief-carved owl faces to the front and a pair of rectangular trough-style planters in a dark grey composite material with low-relief wavy line decoration to the exterior. Also included is a Moai head style figure finished in a textured slate-blue, featuring a hollow interior with a green lining and a central aperture. The base of the Moai figure carries a rectangular raised mark reading ROTARY HERO INC. YOKOHAMA JAPAN MADE IN CHINA. Completing the set is a heavily weathered cast concrete statue of a crouching character holding a small black sphere. The owl and trough planters retain some internal soil residue from previous use.
Condition report:
All items exhibit weathering consistent with outdoor placement. The cast character statue shows significant biological growth including moss and lichen across the surface (photo 1). The Moai head figure has minor scuffing to the blue finish, particularly around the nose and base edges (photo 5). Both owl planters and the rectangular troughs contain dried potting soil and show mineral deposits and surface dirt consistent with garden use (photos 2 and 3). No major structural cracks are visible in the photographs.
