Description
A collection of seven matching green ring-binder style albums, each with the word ALBUM printed in gold to the front cover. The collection contains an assortment of modern Royal Mail commemorative and special edition stamps postcards typically presented in protective plastic sleeves on card inserts. The themes include popular culture series such as Harry Potter, Game of Thrones, Transformers, Wallace & Gromit, and DC Comics characters Batman and Robin.
The collection also features historical, military, and natural history subjects, including British birds, owls, Royal Air Force aircraft such as the Red Arrows, classic British motorcycles, and World War II women’s services. Notable landmarks such as the Palace of Westminster are included alongside sets commemorating the Birmingham 2022 Commonwealth Games. The stamps include various denominations such as 1st and 2nd class NVI (No Value Indicated) issues, alongside decimal values ranging from 15.5p to 2.55 pounds. Several pages include modern reproductions of classic philatelic designs, including the Penny Black and Sea Horses. The majority of the items appear to be in mint condition, with some presented as sets from presentation packs or first day cover inserts.
Condition report:
The collection is in generally good condition based on visual inspection. The stamp postcards appear to be mint and are housed in protective plastic sleeves within the albums. The green album covers show minor signs of handling but remain structurally sound with legible gold lettering (photo 1). No significant tears, creases, or foxing are visible on the stamp cards or card inserts across the various pages shown (photos 2-15).
