Lot 334:
Sold for: £7
Description
This lot comprises three wall mirrors, including a pair of tall rectangular mirrors and a single circular mirror. The two matching rectangular mirrors feature narrow, gilt-finished frames with decorative beaded or gadrooned molded detailing. The circular mirror is constructed with a broad, flat-fronted wooden frame showing a visible grain pattern, possibly teak or a similar hardwood. All three mirrors are fitted with flat glass plates. No manufacturer marks, labels, or signatures are visible on any of the items. The lot comprises the mirrors only; the storage bins, furniture, and other background items shown in the images are not included.
Condition report:
The mirror plates appear clear across the majority of their surfaces with no significant evidence of foxing or silvering loss visible in the images. The gilt frames on the rectangular mirrors show some minor wear and small chips to the finish, particularly at the corners and edges (photo 3). The wooden frame of the circular mirror shows light surface abrasions and minor scuffs consistent with age and use (photo 2). All three items appear to be in good, functional condition.
