Description
A mid-century modern style dining suite consisting of an oval gate-leg drop-leaf table and four matching ladder-back chairs. The table is constructed from teak wood or teak-veneered timber and features two large rounded leaves supported by a swing gate-leg mechanism with tapered square legs. The chairs are designed with three horizontal back rails and are upholstered in a dark brown velour fabric.
A label is affixed to the underside of a chair seat which reads: CARELESSNESS CAUSES FIRE, followed by Batch/I.D. No………., To comply with the Furniture and Furnishings (Fire) (Safety) Regulations 1988: this item does not require a Schedule 3 interliner. all foams, fillings and composites have been tested by our Suppliers to ensure compliance with the relevant ignitability test. covers and fillings are cigarette resistant. covers are match resistant. Condition report:
The wooden frames of the table and chairs show minor scuffs and surface wear to the legs (photo 1 and photo 6). The brown velour upholstery on the chair seats shows general wear and some pile compression consistent with age and use (photo 1 and photo 2). The table mechanism and chair joints appear structurally sound.
