Description

A collection of ceramic and composite figurines featuring a variety of feline-themed ornaments and character pieces. The group includes a porcelain grey and white sitting cat with a blue printed backstamp reading LLADRO, HAND MADE IN SPAIN, and a DAISA 1991 copyright mark, alongside impressed numerals 5113. A Poole England marked dolphin in black glaze is presented on a blue-grey wave base. The assortment features two character jugs: one relief-marked SHORTER ENGLAND HIGHWAYMAN with a printed Staffordshire mark, and a man in a blue top hat with a signpost handle reading WIDECOMBE. Also included is a white porcelain cat bearing a crest and the text CHESHIRE CAT… STILL SMILING, with a black stamped tree mark for WILLOW CHINA LONGTON to the base. The collection is completed by various glazed earthenware and resin figures including a large curled ginger cat, a textured brown long-haired cat, black and tuxedo cats, a Wren by Leonardo resin bird on a wooden plinth, a seated clown, and a fabric-clothed pixie figure holding a squirrel.

Condition report:

The collection generally appears to be in good secondary market condition. The porcelain clown figurine shows a visible fracture line or possible repair across the left leg (photo 1). Some items exhibit light surface dust across the glazed and textured surfaces. No other chips, cracks, or restorations are evident from the provided images.
