Description
A collection of decorative glass and crystal items of various 20th-century manufacture, featuring molded, cut, and frosted techniques. The group includes a large clear and frosted glass centerpiece platter and a flared frosted glass vase, both featuring relief-molded cherry blossoms in pink and clear glass. The platter bears a black and gold adhesive label reading ORIGINAL WALTHER GLAS Kristallglas Crystal Glass Cristallin MADE IN W. GERMANY FABRIQUE EN ALLEMAGNE with a stylized W logo. The vase bears a similar gold adhesive label reading ORIGINAL WALTHER GLAS MADE IN GERMANY FABRIQUE EN ALLEMAGNE.
The assortment further comprises several clear glass candlesticks in baluster and scrolled forms, a green glass chamberstick with a looped handle, and a large clear glass footed trifle bowl. Additional serving pieces include three large decorative platters with frosted floral, starburst, and stylized tree motifs, an amber-toned glass dish, and a two-tier serving stand featuring a red rose transfer print and a gold-coloured handle. The collection is completed by various pressed glass salts, a purple glass goblet, and two blue glass animal figurines in the form of a fish and a pig.
Condition report:
The collection appears to be in good overall condition. There are no immediate signs of significant chips, cracks, or repairs to the molded decorative elements. Light surface wear and minor scratches consistent with domestic use may be present on the bases of the larger platters and bowls. The transfer print on the two-tier stand remains largely intact with no significant loss.
