Description
A collection of vintage storage and decorative items, primarily constructed from wood and metal. This lot includes a large rustic pine crate featuring rope handles and a metal-hinged lid, with a stencilled graphic on the top reading Yellow Pages alongside a bell logo. The assortment also comprises a dark-stained wooden carrier with a central handle and three internal compartments, a slatted oak magazine rack, and a smaller open wooden box with zinc-plated metal corner reinforcements. Further storage items include a brown faux-leather suitcase, an empty three-bottle carrier with leather straps and brass-tone hardware, and a small wooden decoupage chest decorated with printed French winery labels including Chateau, Fournier, and Bordeaux. The lot is completed by a tall lightwood cylindrical box with a rope handle, two white-painted scrolled wire plate racks, a leaf-shaped wooden serving dish, and a dark green painted desk organiser featuring floral decoupage. A rectangular floral tray with a pink and gold-painted scrolled border is also included, featuring a central transfer-print of roses. Condition report:
The items are in good vintage condition with age-related wear visible across the group. The faux-leather suitcase and bottle carrier show surface scuffing and wear (photo 1). The white wire racks exhibit minor paint loss and light oxidation (photo 4). The pine Yellow Pages crate displays natural wood knots, surface staining, and wear to the rope handles consistent with utility (photo 2). Fraying is present on the rope handle of the lightwood cylindrical box (photo 5). The floral tray shows surface scratches and minor wear to the gilt finish (photo 3).
