Description
A collection of vintage gentleman’s accessories and travel sets featuring multiple leather-cased grooming kits. The assortment includes a brown cowhide travel case with chrome-plated and plastic fittings, labelled GENUINE TOP GRAIN COWHIDE MADE IN U.S.A. A second red leather-cased vanity set contains various steel and plastic components, with one metal container marked ACERO INOXIDABLE. The lot further comprises a boxed pair of golf-themed silk-blend suspenders featuring leather tabs, with a paper band printed HAND MADE Regent BELT COMPANY IN ENGLAND. Also present is a Mele & Co. Wine Kit in its original packaging, a Helix OXFORD SET OF MATHEMATICAL INSTRUMENTS in a blue and silver-tone tin, and a black leather-wrapped hip flask in a red presentation box. Additional items include a handheld telescope or magnifier marked KING 25X, a carved wooden box containing two decks of SUPERIOR QUALITY PLAYING CARDS, and a brown faux-crocodile skin wallet.
Condition report:
The collection generally shows light to moderate wear consistent with age and use. The leather travel cases exhibit scuffing and minor surface abrasions, particularly at the corners and edges (photos 1 and 2). Oxidation and surface tarnishing are visible on some chrome-plated components within the grooming kits (photo 5). The cardboard packaging for the wine kit and suspenders shows light crushing and edge wear (photos 4 and 6). The black leather-wrapped flask shows light surface scratching (photo 7). No major structural damage or losses are visible in the photographs.
