Description
A wall clock of regulator form, featuring a wooden case with a dark mahogany-tone finish. The case is designed with a decorative pediment comprising a central block and shaped side scrolls, above a full-length glazed front door and a shaped apron at the base. The dial comprises a white chapter ring with black Roman numerals and a rail-track minute ring, surrounding a gold-tone sunburst-patterned centre. The dial plate is further embellished with four brass-tone scrolling spandrels to the corners. The black decoratively shaped hour and minute hands are set within the dial, which is marked Quartz in cursive script. The lower section of the glazed door features a printed gold-line border, revealing a polished brass-tone swinging pendulum. This clock is powered by a battery-operated quartz movement.
Condition report:
The clock appears to be in fair aesthetic condition, exhibiting surface dust and minor signs of wear consistent with age and domestic use. The item has not been tested for functional operation and the movement has not been inspected.
